Father Christmas arrives at Lewiss store in Liverpool. More than 500 youngsters of all ages had waited for up to an hour on both sides of Ranelagh Street. Store staff dressed as pantomime characters handed out balloons and sweets to the crowd as Santa arrived by coach and horse in a procession accompanied by two vintage cars. 4th November 1978
