A Forest forward line train with the camera in mind at the City Ground ahead of the 1950/51 campaign which would end with the Third Division (South) title safely gathered in. Right winger Freddie Scott (far left) and left winger Colin Collindridge (far right) were both ever-presents in the victorious campaign. Inside-forward John Love (second left) made only a handful of appearances, while spearhead Wally Ardron (centre) hit the target 36 times, missing only one match.
But to many fans, the key man was inside-forward Tommy Capel (second right), who contributed 23 goals and created as many scoring opportunities as he converted
