Albert Ball VC, DSO & Two Bars, MC (14 August 1896 Ð 7 May 1917) English fighter pilot of the First World War. At the time of his death he was credited with forty-four victories. Balls plane crashed in a field in France while pursuing Lothar von Richthofen the Red Barons brother, The Germans buried Albert Ball in AnnIullin, with full honours. Circa July 1916
