The drawing room at Chartwell House.
The portrait of Lady Churchill on the left of the fireplace was painted by Douglas Chandor in 1946.
The picture over the fireplace by Raoul Millais is of Sir Winston Churchills first racehorse, Colonist II.
The Lalique glass cockerel was a gift from General De Gaulle to Lady Churchill. Sir Winston often sat at the far end of the room to play Bezique with Lady Churchill or with other guests, the table on the right is set for this game.
