Conkers - Who says its a childs game? Conkers has become an annual event with members of the Miskin Sporting Club. Their fifth annual contest, in aid of charity, took place at the weekend - and players committing foul shots were shown a red or yellow card! Pictured having a crack at each other outside the Miskin Arms are Mr Rob Santer (left) of Kings Road, Canton, Cardiff, who emerged as runner-up and Mr Jeff Davies of Pen-y-Groes, Groes Faen, the contest winner. And there in the middle, resplendent in boater and with warning cards at the ready is the referee, 73-year old Mr henry Harry, of Miskin Village.Members of the Miskin Sporting Club watch the proceedings. 8th November 1981
