Framed Print of Mr Bob Butler has seen young boxers come and go at Arnold Lodge Preparatory School

Mr Bob Butler has seen young boxers come and go at Arnold Lodge Preparatory School, Leamington. He has been organizing boxing contests at the school since he became physical education teacher 25 years ago, and he passed on his experience to 16 young boxers competing for the schools Brookville Trophy in the annual contest. Also on hand to give a few tips were judges Councillor Norman Parker and Mr Ron Stefani, the Amateur Boxing Associations trainer to the Leamington Boys Club. Mr Butler, a former instructor in the Royal Navy, now teaches part-time at Arnold Lodge. Some of the lads I ve trained during the years have gone on to win boxing tournaments in the services. Its a great sport and the boys here certainly seem to enjoy it, he said.
Our photograph shows Mr Bob Butler refereeing a bout between Colion Borgars and Jonathan Nott during the contest.
