American actor Fess Parker, better know as Davy Crockett from the hit Walt Disney film and mini series is pictured with the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Alderman Frank Chapman during a visit to the Lord Mayors Parlour at Cardiff City Hall. The Lord Mayor posed for a picture wearing Davys fur-hat on his head. The reason for Davys appearance at the City Hall? He presented greetings to Cardiff from the city of Los Angeles which owes, it declares, " an immense debt to its citizens of Welsh origin." - 18th April 1956
