WW2 London Air Raid Bomb Damage V2 Rocket Attack 1944
Members of the Fire Service and the Auxillary Fire Service along with members of the other rescue services search the smoking wreckage of a factory in the southern suburbs of London following a V2 Rocket Attack. The V2 rocket carried 2, 000 lbs of explosive, and took only minutues to reach its target. the rocket travel at speeds up to 3, 500 mph. It was feared because it came down from the stratosphere without warning - unlike the doodlebug V1 flying bomb, it could not be spotted, nor shot down in flight.

Wood effect frame, card mounted, 10x8 fade resistant photo print. Overall outside dimensions 14x12 inches (36x31cm). Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass).
