The De Havilland D. H. 82a Tiger Moth is probably the most well known biplane 2-seat
The De Havilland D.H.82a Tiger Moth is probably the most well known biplane 2-seat trainer of all time. It first flew on 26 October 1931 and can still be seen in many parts of the world today. Built in vast numbers during WW2 in UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, it is powered by a D.H. Gipsy Major engine.
Pictured is Evangeline Hunter-Jones taking her first flight with daughter Georgina at the controls in aid of the Womens Cancer Control Campaign on 6th May 1988
