A De Havilland Mosquito takes off from Liverpool Airport where it has been rebuilt to flying condition and will be used in the filming of the film " 633 Squadron". The Mosquito first flew in November 1940 and was built mainly of wood. Its construction leant itself to prefabrication and production of the aircraft was dispersed around war torn Britain. The first Mosquito sortie was in September 1941 and by the end of the World War II the aircraft was being used in all theatres of war and in many roles. This particular aircraft is preserved at the De Havilland Museum Salisbury Hall Hertfordshire where it was design and built. 1968
