Schoolchildren and housewives - some of whom had been waiting for more than three hours
Schoolchildren and housewives - some of whom had been waiting for more than three hours - mobbed the Irish pop stars, the Bachelors when they opened a beauty salon in Kenilworth. First to arrive outside Votre Beaute in Abbey End, was Mrs. Doris Wright, at 9 o clock. She waited nearly four hours to get the stars autographs for her two daughter who were in bed with chickenpox. The Bachelors are friends of the salon proprietress, Mrs. Eileen Kelly, and the salon is the second they have opened for her. Two years ago the trio opened her salon in Tile Hill Lane, Coventry. Mrs. Kelly said: " I met them at a party some years before they were famous and we ve kept in touch ever since." The new salon, which will provide the full range of beauty treatments, will have a staff of twelve.
