David Essex delighted workers at the Meriden motor cycle co-operative when he collected
David Essex delighted workers at the Meriden motor cycle co-operative when he collected on of the latest models from the factory. Women asked for autographs as David toured the factory before collecting a Bonneville 750. He had been at Coventry Theatre last night where he had played to a full-house. He said: " Most of the Japanese bikes ride like a car, but the Triumph machines still seem like motor bikes to ride, " " You can go anywhere in the world and people will be talking about these bikes made in Meriden. They re a joy to ride." Meriden have also produced a version for the police force.
