Ford Foundry at Leamington held an open day. Skills which go into the making of the modern motor car were viewed by hundreds of people, who toured the foundry. Ford have been established in Leamington since 940 and employ a workforce of, 200 plus a staff of 50. During the past 10 years, more than £ 1 million has been spent improving and extending the foundry in Old Warwick Road. In this photo miniature cars, made on the spot from dry moulding sand, provide a novel souvenir for visitors at the plant.
