John Ferguson, a Coventry bespoke tailor, who specialises in suits for gamekeepers has saved a mens outfitters from closure. Mr Ferguson is a Lancastrian, aged 57 and came to Coventry to work after the war because he had married a Coventry Girl. He was apprenticed in a tailors shop in Wigan and joined Harold Freedmans tailoring business in Coventry 36 years ago and became the owner in 1968. " I became established providing suits for estate workers such as chauffers or gamekeepers, who needed a tailored suit as a uniform for their job, " he said. He has taken over A. Morleys of Far gosford Street, the oldest mens outfitters shop in the city. It will mean a move just down the road from number 60 to 67. Morleys was established in 1910 and was run for 54 years by Annie Morley who died in her 80s.
