Firemen and police joined forces to rescue a cow which had plunged into the canal at Myton Road, Warwick yesterday after wandering too close to the edge. They tied a rope around her and it took 10 minutes to get her onto the bank. No-one knew how long the animal had been in the water, but she was out before her owner was even aware of her fall.
