Crufts top dog bets a brush-up: with all the dignity befitting his elevated position
Crufts top dog bets a brush-up: with all the dignity befitting his elevated position, Britains top dog gets a brushing down from his young master. It was the ideal relaxation for Bergerie Knur, a Pyrenean mountain dog of imposing stature. The gentle grooming by little Simon Prince helped to brush away the excitement of a very hectic day on Saturday (7-2-70), when Bergerie Knur was voted Supreme Champion at the famous Crufts Dog Show in London. He was a competitor among a record entry of 8, 398 dogs. His owner Mr. Frederick Prince and his family made a big fuse of him when he arrived home at Branishaw, Hampshire, on Sunday (8-2-70). But they weren t calling him champion - just Grant, his pet name. February 1970 P006076
