The babys name is Simon Rose. Which reveals the startling fact that hes a boy...a species almost unheard of down at BrightOs Farm in Wiltshire. Mr. Rose and his wife Marion have had nine other children. Nine girls, whose ages range from four to twenty-four. Dad was beginning to feel outnumbered. " He has always longed for a boy, " his twenty-year-old daughter Penelope said. " Until now it has always been girls although Susanne, our eldest sister has two boys." Mrs. Rose was a little overwhelmed by the arrival of a son. She had already chosen the names Emma Kate for her tenth child. " I can t believe it after all these year, " she said. " It was wonderful when I had two grandsons after all my girls but to have a boy of my own is marvellous. " Simon was born at a maternity hospital at Chippenham, Wilts. Naturally his arrival at the farm in Christian Malford was cause for celebration. The family gathered together as our picture show. Mrs. Rose is at the top right.
