Framed Print of The Amazing Doctor Painless: Hes the fastest draw in the West -- when it comes to

The Amazing Doctor Painless: Hes the fastest draw in the West -- when it comes to pulling teeth. And the patient feels no pain, despite the fact that Dr. Ashwan Barot uses no anaesthetic. The incredible dentist doesn t mess about with gas or injections. He uses just a pair of forceps -- or even plucks out teeth with his bare hands. He doesn t even have the dreaded dentiats chair -- his patients sit cross-legged on the floor. Dr. Barot, a 23-year-old Indian, has studied an ancient and now little-known form of yoga called jalandarbandh, used by Hindu medics 5, 000 years ago to tranquillise their patients. He uses the yoga to numb a patients jaw before an extraction. May 1979 P013267. © Mirrorpix
