Mr. Frederick Starke, a leading member of the Group, explained that the price of wool had inc-reased by 15 to 20 per cent. Last time the foreign buyers were here, they spent £ 1900, 000. The Americans - the biggest customers - paid out £ 300, 650 - twice the amount they spent at the Paris couture shows in January.
