On the nights of June 28 and 29, 1942 Weston endured "hell on earthO as 52 high-explosive bombs and more than 10,000 savage incendiary devices fell upon the town.
The flames emanating from the crumbling ruins could be seen from Wales, as Weston suffered its worst days at war.
