Victoria's full name is Victoria Elizabeth Coren Mitchell after marrying comedian David Mitchell.
Victoria is one of the main hosts of Have I Got News for You on BBC TV, and Only Connect for the BBC. In the 1980s, Victoria has been writing for Just Seventeen Magazine, and won a competition to write about teenage life for The Daily Telegraph.

The first "live" broadcast from the Normandy beachhead took place on Sunday

The first "live" broadcast from the Normandy beachhead took place on Sunday June 18th 1944 when Frank Gillard (BBC) and William Downs (CBS), operating from a Royal Signals truck just off the beaches,
transmitted messages for their respective radio systems.
Gillard's message, which was heard in the 9 o'clock news is claimed to be the first direct BBC transmission of any campaign.
