At this point in The Beatles career, "From Me To You" had been their first UK number one single released in May 1963, and although "She Loves You" had been recorded, it would not be released until 23rd August 1963. The group were fast becoming popular across the UK, but it would be that upcoming single "She Loves You" that tipped them into Beatlemania and beyond.

Sidney James, the British actor whose rather unique laugh became synonymous with the British comedy series "Carry On", pictured playing Long John Silver for a Carry On Christmas special. You'll notice that the Carry On version of the nautical baddie didn't appear to be missing a leg, rather he seemed to have gained one. Ahem.
