There's always one at every Christmas party - he won't have to join in the fun or even put on a paper hat. but when tea's ready he'll have his paws on the table faster than you can say cream buns. Children at Dunblane Primary School near Stirling could not expect much else from their special guest for he was Hercules the Bear. The runaway star with the big appetite isn't quite as well known for his table manners and he muched noisily through a bowful of prawns and slurped away at gallons of ale while the awe stuck youngsters looked on, strangely unconcerned with their own grub. But they didn't mind - they were only there for the bear! 4th December 1980
