Into battle with Attenborough's Army. They're known as Attenborough's Army and they're being trained into a rough, tough bunch of paratroops. But there's something different, for they're really actors who have been transformed into soldiers in a few short weeks for the film "A Bridge Too Far." The film, based on Cornelius Ryan's book of the same name, tells the story of the Allied airborne attack in 1944 at Arnhem, Holland. The film, directed by Sir Richard Attenborough, is being shot near the original location. And the actors have been undergoing paratrooper training and living in barrack-type accommodation in the interests of authenticity. Film director Sir Richard Attenborough inspects his "Army" of actors, on location in Holland. June 1976 P016986
