This 1972-1973 season would be Bobby Charlton's last season for Manchester United. He signed for Manchester United Youth Team in 1953, aged 15. He went on to appear for the first team in 1956 until he left in 1973. 606 appearances, and 199 goals later.
Charlton survived the Munich Air Disaster of February 1968, and was part of the team that lifted the European Cup in 1968.
